Ok, so since I am starting a Vulkan force, I was thinking of modifying the one on GW's SM armies article thing.

What I want to do is take out the Tactical Termies and the squad with the ML. Along with that, I am going to make one Tactical Squad all flamers, and the other all meltas, and give both Rhino transport. That should give me about 250-300pts or so (not sure, do not have the C:SM on me) that I can use.

The question is: what can I do with those points?

That is not a fun list, I surprised that do not give a more competitive list on their website.

If you really want this list then add a drop pod dread and give the drop pod a homer.
Do you really want to bring the normal termies?
There are much better elite choices which can use rhinos to cover the landraider.

In my above post I said I was going to drop 1 Tac squad and the normal Termies, and give the remaing Tac squads Rhnos.

I fail to be able to read, in that case I think you are not really using their list at all.

10 sternguard all with combimeltas in a drop pod.
6 sternguard, 2 heavy flamers, 4 combimeltas in a rhino.

I was also said I was going to modify the list.
But anyway, how many points would those 16 Sernguard be?
