so according to my codex heavy weapons teams also have lasguns under their wargear section, does this mean they can move then shoot their lasguns or does the heavy weapon stop them from firing their lasguns as well?

sorry if this can be found in the rule book its next on my purchase list (i has the 4th ed book)

thanks!!

Chimeras > rhinos (course then again piling a regular squad out of a chimera usually creates a scene similar to Omaha beach during D-Day)

They can opt to fire one weapon or the other. Lasguns can be fired on the move.

Since the codex states they are equipped with both the heavy weapon and the lasguns, you can fire the lasguns on the move.

But you only get one lasgun shot per base/team, due to the single stat line.

7500pts. 1750pts. 1500pts. 2000pts. 11000pts.

Yeah, not too big of a deal. Not like they were really gonna kill something with the other two shots anyways (unless someone gets really lucky).

7500pts. 1750pts. 1500pts. 2000pts. 11000pts.

No, the attacks stat only applies in close combat. The number of attacks given by a ranged weapon is in the weapon's profile, such as assault 2, heavy 3, etc.

Rapid fire gets 1 at full range, 2 at half range.

You don't 'use' rapid fire. Rapid fire is a weapon type.

If you remained stationary, you may fire once at up to max range. If the enemy is within 12" then you must take two shots.

You don't have the option to choose except "shoot" or "don't shoot".
