...I can't see it. I've tried the first level as a librarian and that was kind of a pain in the but. It makes me wonder how some of the later fights will be handled where you need to take things at a distance.

For example:

Spoiler:
Parts of the Stompa fight

Also how does one handled ranged enemies in general. They seem to have excellent aim, especially the following:

Spoiler:
The tyranids that shoot... I forget what they are called.

I can agree, the ranged damage you take from shooting attacks is a little absurd, but they work better in two player when one deals with the guys attacking you, and the ranged guys go for the boss.

The pen is mightier then the sword, but you must keep a sword handy for when the pen runs out of ink.

Melee is more of an option during coop mode otherwise the techmarine is the best class for soloing IMO.

I clocked the game in coop mode the other day with one person using the sternguard veteran and me using the vanguard veteran. As long as you have someone providing basic cover fire, you’re pretty much able to destroy everything in melee. On average, I got more kills than the sternguard player. The vanguard veteran special ability is probably one of the best in the game (with the best being the sternguard special ability).

Personally I didn’t find bosses to be an issue with the melee class as boss fights are somewhat tactical. As long as you don’t lololol rush bosses (opting for more precise strikes instead), then you will be fine.
