Hey guys I'm almost done with my standard bearer but wanted some ideas of what I could paint on the banner, obvious choices are a big 'U' but I was thinking there might me something more exciting I could do. Any ideas much appreciated.

Why not paint one of the company banners from the codex?

Yer was thinking about doing one of them, any tips on how to approach it. Maybe pencil it on first?

4th ed SM dex has all the smurf comany banners. Not sure about the 5th ed. And penciling it in would be a good bet. You could try either photocopying the page and then pasting the photocopy onto the banner. Depends on how good your copier is though.
