I have previously posted about choosing Dark Eldar -vs- Tyranids. I have made my decision and Dark Eldar won out.

Accordingly, I have opted to start to compile my annual "Wish List" for my wife to have ".. just in time for the holidays..".

As I sit and work on it... I started to ask myself about possibly getting one of the "higher end" models to add to the army. The DE Tantalus is a little too high in cost right now, so I decided against that one... but I was really looking at the Reaper from Forge World.

I was working up my wish list and I keep trying to squeeze it in. Now I realize that being that it is from Forge World, there is a whole host of problems associated with it. Firstly, you have to have an opponent's permission to use the craft and from what I know, most (if not all) tournies do not allow them. That being said... I have to say that I REALLY like the model and I think that it looks really cool.

I was wondering if any DE players out there had an opportunity to play with one and if so... is it worth it? The Reaper would be in-stead-of a Ravager. The Ravager has multiple weapons where the Reaper has but one.... But what a weapon it has!!! To switch between a 5" blast template and a serious tank buster mode is pretty cool.

So my question is simply this.... Is it worth getting a Reaper or do you get better performance from the Ravager??

Performance wise, nothing would be more useful and boring as three Ravagers. They would generally be considered the most competitive us of your heavy support choices. But I like the Razorwing and void bombers for aesthetic reasons.Talos are nice as well, but you would need make your army in a way that they can support each other easily.

I don't know about performance, but the Razorwing certainly looks great.

Razorwings are fun and look cool...but are mostly for use against hordes. For an all around army the Ravager is your best bet.

Im going with ravager because although that reaper thing looks cool, i dont like fielding models if they arnt in the codex. Maybe I could use it a ravager lol.

But its between ravager and razorwing for me, but ravagers will fit mostly any army whereas razorwings will fit most but not as much as the ravager. Hell take on of each?
