Been Around the Block

Scenario:

3 Killa Kans moved 6 inches during movement, fired then assaulted a land raider. Turn end. Next turn the land raider moved away. Defiler moves withing 1", fires and renders one immobilized. Assault phase is where it gets fuzzy. According to vehicle rules, you have to roll a 4 to hit something that moved at combat speed. Would 4's have to be rolled even though a kan is immobilized in the assault? Would the kans roll a 4 to counter attack the defilers assault?

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

look up the Walker section, it explains how they fight.

Walkers fight in the same way as infantry. Walker fighting Walker will be a comparison of WS and they will be locked in combat till one side is destroyed(as neither will ever take Ld tests)

If the Kans were all one unit then the Immobilized one would become wrecked instead, since they are a squadron.

However, for vehicles with a Weapon Skill you always compare Weapon Skills instead of going off of the speed the vehicle moved.

First question: brb page 63 has the answers for normal vehicles getting assaulted; note how the auto-hit is on a vehicle that "is" immobilized.

However you should really read Page 73; which is walkers and assaults; Speed does not matter for walkers, only WS

+1

You need to look up both walker rules and squadrons of walkers. As a side note, once the unit of Kans gets down to 1 this wouldn't be the case anymore and don't forget grenades need 6's to hit walkers. Gl
