I'm getting back into 40k and thinking of doing Dark Eldar, anyways here's a list from stuff i like from the Dark eldar range, I'm not to sure on it though.
HQ#1
Urien Rakarth 190
HQ#2
Haemonculus, Liquifier Gun 60
Haemonculus, Liquifier Gun 60
TROOPS:
4 Wracks, Venom w/Splintercannon 105
4 Wracks, Venom w/Splintercannon 105
10 Wyches, Shardnet and impaler, Hekatrix w/Agoniser, Raider, Flickerfield 210
ELITE:
4 Grotesques (master Haemonculus), Raider, Flickerfield, Night Shields 240
4 Trueborn, 4 Blasters, Venom w/Splintercannon 173
4 Trueborn, 4 Blasters, Venom w/Splintercannon 173
HEAVY:
Razorwing, flickerfield, splintercannon 165
Razorwing, flickerfield, splintercannon 165
Cronos Parasite engine, Spirit vortex 100
1746
Basically i've got the Urien rakarth Model, so i want to base an army around him. I love the cronos or talos, also the razorwings so i want to include them. Maybe a WWP list??
Any advice or input would be great

... Are the two regular haems going with the wracks? I'd drop a wych to let at least one haem on board. Girls need the Pain Token.

Fulff-wise great, but competitively ... ? Since the Grots are h2h, the NightShield won't really be of help.

You've already got enough mobility that the WWP doesn't seem to fit, but the cronos/talos will get nailed hard for a turn or three. Adding a WWP just for it is wasteful, IMHO.
It isn't the internet's cookie-cutter (venom spam with KBs & wyches, what I run), so you'll have to lurk about the DE threads for more grotesque/wrack based lists for better advice than I can offer.

I haven't got any of the models btw just Rakarth atm, so any suggestions to completely revise it would be a great help.
I was thinking of dropping the Wyches and replacing with Wracks. As Rakarth gives D3 Pain Token at the begining of the game then i was thinking all the Wracks would hopefully end up with FNP and FC from the begining, and with Urien in with the grotesques then they've already got FNP and FC. And yeah i'd drop the nightshield, maybe fiddle about a bit to fit some Harlequins in with a Venom?

The biggest stumbling block I see is that you're excited about Coven units and want to pair them with Razorwings. Coven armies tend to be very good at killing infantry and mediocre at popping mech. The Razoriwng is second to none at killing infantry and mediocre at popping mech...
With 3 Haems + Urien there is really so little value to the Cronos it is silly - I'd upgrade him to something else.
As far as list comp goes...you have some debate. I don't think you'll compete at a high level with a Coven list, but there are some solid semi-competitive options out there that can do fine at a local level once you get good with them.
I would tend to advise switching the Heavy Slots to Ravagers (you'll need the anti-mech) and using the freed up points to enhance your weak Troop slots.
If you don't want to go Raider/Venom spam then you've got a decent base for trying to go WWP. The Razorwings (and Cronos, frankly) should become Talosi most likely, Urien and the Super Grots hide in the portal, two Haems become drop units escorted by Wracks, and everything else gives up transports and gets re-focused for assault and anti-mech coming out of a portal. Trueborn become less viable, Scourges become a better anti-mech unit in that list, and Wyches will want haywire grenades.
You should probably try to focus in on what specifically you like from the list and then can get a clearer idea of where to start building.

Ok cheers Thor, just the input i needed tbh.
I'm not really a 'grand' tornament player, just a semi competitive homegrown/LFGS tornament for fun type player. I really just want a list thats not a spam list with a bit of everything with some fun thrown in so i've gone for a new list, a WWP one:
HQ:
Urien Rakarth 190
Haemonculus, Liquifier, WWP 95
Haemonculus, Liquifier, WWP 95
TROOP:
4 Wracks, venom w/splintercannon 105 (Hemmy)

10 Wyches, hekatrix w/agoniser, Haywire Grenades 150
10 Wyches, hekatrix w/agoniser, Haywire Grenades 150
ELITE:
4 grotesques (master Haemonculus) 160
FAST ATTACK:
5 Scourages, 2x haywire Blasters 130
5 Scourages, 2x haywire Blasters 130
HEAVY:
Talos
Talos
Talos
1595 points atm, not sure what to use the other 155 points on any ideas regarding the list and the extra points, possibly a beastmaster unit or 2 maybe?

Beastmasters aren;t bad out of portals, though I usually run them to get Sathy into WWP lists, and you can't really do that unless you're comfortable running Urien as a regular Haem. I'd also probably want more Troops than just the 4 you're running - 20 Wyches can die pretty suddenly if things don't go exactly as you wish.
I'm actually starting to become of the opinion that Scourges out of portals should have Heat Lances - functionally you'll have a 21" threat bubble around that portal where you can melta something, that's not shabby, and heat lances within melta range are darn good at actually wrecking vehicles.

Heat Lances sound viable tbh. Ok so i'll change the Haywires on the Scourages to Heat lances, drop a grotesque, and add in a shardnet & Impaler and hydra gauntlets on both wyches. Add in 10 Wracks, Acothyst w/scissorhand for 125. and add a venom Blade on one of the hemmys and it brings it to 1748pts Automatically Appended Next Post: HQ:
Urien Rakarth 190

You might want to go with "Razorflails" with the Wytchs, with rerolls galore they will hit&wound more then the Hydra with no rerolls.

Consider the hydra gauntlet changed to razorflails , Just 1 question: If rakarth is off the field at the begining of the game, as he is coming out of a portal... does he still get the D3 pain token at the start of the game?

There is no requirement for either Rakarth or the units he is giving tokens to to be deployed on the board. It works fine if he is in reserve.

I have not been using RazorFs or HydraGs since my first few games this spring. I used Shard/Impalers as part of Tarpitting tactics early this summer, but gave those up too. Instead, put in another girl, haywires, a liquifier, just about anything else, a KWarrior's blaster (inna venom). I used them at first, but in the end, simply went with more bodies.
