Looking for 40k. Anyone around the Naugatuck CT area?

Had a group of 8...but most lost interest and so I'm looking for something new.

You're what, a half hour from Manchester? The Battle Standard and the Time Machine are both there. I highly recommend the Battle Standard (don't know tTM personally).

I went to Time machine a few times, not a bad place...

how far away is the battle standard from time machine? I never heard of that place?

EDIT: do I need to pay to play games at the battle standard? or is that optional?

I don't believe payment is necessary to use the play space. It's always in good taste to buy something, of course.

The guys at The Battle Standard are great, and they have a nice roomy/sunny space with some cool tables/terrain, tons of parking and close places to eat.

Time machine has superior stock levels and variety of products but the basement gameroom worries me: the age of the building makes me wonder what unhealthy things I might be breathing in (mold/asbestos).

Well, I did a quick google maps search, and found that I live like half hour away from Battle standard, and Time machine isn't that far away either, I could go play at either of them on the weekends, as long as my dad drives me (16 and don't have a car )

also, I don't like the people I saw playing at time machine the one time I did actually see people playing 40k...They seem nice, but out of the 6 people their, their was only 1 painted army


I could always go to Battle standard if I don't have to pay to play a game, i looked and it was like 55$ for membership...

Yeah....unfortunately, I have a habit of spending obscene amounts of money when I game at places like that. Hoping to avoid that if possible. (grin)

God knows if I get any more Vendettas I'm going to run out of shelf space.

All right, I'm now 100% sure you don't need to pay for membership, but if you do you get like, a 10% discount on everything, and some other nice goodies as well...

So I could go their on the weekends, probably Saturday......

I also know a bunch of the guys at Richies in Waterbry and they are looking into carrying GW products now, and possibly converting a back room into a game room.

Which would mean I am completely doomed...thats like 8 minutes from where I live...
