I'm a little confused to it's 'allegiance'.

The Adeptus Mechanicus worship the Omnissiah which many believe to be the Void Dragon. We know the Void Dragon is a C'Tan. My question is, if it suddenly woke from its slumber would it turn on it's followers on Mars or would it be an ally?

It would be in heaven, surrounded by food, and heck, then next planet over has a ton of food, and there's a star right there! Void Dragon = one happy shard

on the forum. Obviously

If the Void Dragon were to awaken? He'll eat everthing in the vicinity. He'll then look for the rest of himself (well, according to the new fluff, considering how he is now a collection of shards) so he can get back at those blasphemous necrontyr who dared strike down their god. Or something like that.

Is there anything strong enough to destroy the Void Dragon if it did wake up, it's right next to Terra for chrips sake.

Depends on new fluff.

"AM are bunch of half human-half robot monkeys who keep tech working by punching it with a wrench And their tech is so sophisticated that you could never get it wrapped it out" thing a LITTLE to seriously. It also goes "Tau tech is so awesome I wish I was Tau and not some stupid Human" thing.

I'm not sure if the void dragon wouldn't enslave the mechanicus people that it didn't kill straight away. After all, their entire society has been influenced by visions from the Dragon, & if it did wake up, there would probably be a faction who thought it was the Omnissiah & wanted to worship it.

Strange thought but.. wouldn't the dark Mechanicus be able to completely bitch slap it? C'tan being weak to the warp and all.

Only if they can pull out something like the weapons of Vaul. That was what? The only set of weapons the Eldar were able to build capable of actually killing the C'tan.

Well, the emperor is what bitch slapped him into his little, tomb...sleepy...thingy anyway.

But even then the void dragon was weakened and the emperor barely beat him...

So I would say, if the Emperor could barely do it (in his youth) Their is nothing that would be able stand against his fiery machine rage!

My guess would be that it wouldnt be possible to "kill" the dragon persay but because it would only be a small shard of the real c'tan (new fluff dictation) it would be possible to send it back into a deep slumber. Heck, it may only be possible for necrons to truly "awaken" a shard of the c'tan!

You are now all aware that the Necrons destroyed landing on Mars were trying to banish the Dragon fragment hidden there.

well if we go by the new fluff logic he should be dead and mars should be destoryed because mars is a tomb world and the second one of the necron ships touched the planet the tomb world became active.

Originaly it was thought the deceiver was on mars keeping everything quite and keeping his big brother asleep so he wouldent wake up and screw his plans over. Thats how come they dident tried to get the outsided because the deceiver wants the universe to himself and be able to eat at will and come back when life has recoved unlike his brothers that just wipe everything out.

While it did take 2 blackstone fortress to make the void dragon tired if woken up, even in a weak state he would beable to consume everything on mars , gain enough power and beable to fly to the closest sun (gak goes down to earth here).

With the new fluff stuff tho this changes this opinion tho

The battle you mentioned took place before most of the high value weapons came into being (second century). The Emperor was probably wearing a set of mideval armor and using an iron sword. The Void Dragon could form tech from composit materials around him.

As I recall, it only takes a bit of work from Chief Librarian Tiguirius to at least bitchslap The Nightbringer. Call him in, see what happens.

The only way to put Dragon back to sleep is noise marines with grandpa's guitars.
