Opinions are more than welcome, they're requested.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

A few key components are missing here that need to be included:

Long Fangs and a Rune Priest.

Long Fangs to help with popping armor at range and a Rune Priest as you'll be toiling with Grey Knights and you need to shut down their powers. With that said, you could try the following cuts to make room for some necessary items.

1) Make the Warrior Born lord a Battle Leader. Yes, its a decent sized step down but he's going to be a lawn mower anyway...don't think 1 less attack is going to hurt.

2) Drop 2 Grey Hunters from each 8 man pack. At 6, you'll be a little lighter but remember your Thunderwolves are doing the heavy lifting.

3) Drop the Mark of the Wulfen and Standard on the Razorback Grey Hunters as well as the Power Fist on the Wolf Guard. Just have them sitting back for gaks and giggles.

4) Bring the Thunderwolves down to 3 strong and drop the Melta Bombs.

These changes will net you ~185 points...yeah, I know still short of anything we wanted. Now this is where you get into the realm of Personal Choice.

A) Take a Pack of Long Fangs with Lazorback.

B) Drop one squad of Thunderwolves, take two foot squads of Long Fangs and a Priest.

Either way it'll work, just know that everyone in their mother will be gunning for those cav.

I like it as this is more what i would consider to be a thunderwolf calvary list. I think that leaving them at 4 strong might be the better option cause i feel like if that is the focus it needs to be the focus. That being said i do think that a squad or two of LF would be very beneficial, You might consider shrinking all the troop options since they will be hanging back while the calvary does the heavy lifting. Plus if you can swing putting all 3 squads in Lazorbacks you have a distance threat in addition to the LF. Don't know how you would squeeze the points since i don't have my book on me at the moment but that is just my 2 cents.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies, you're a big help.

What would you think about dropping the 2 Dreads w/ autocannons for the long range support instead?

Originally that was kind of what the dreads where for (I guess it would've been more effective with Missile Launchers, but still not enough shots).

Just a few other cuts, such as those sugggested (Unholy Martyr), and I can deck out the Rune Priest, grab more Long Fangs, or both. I do want to try to keep my TWC up to full strength, because that is indeed the idea I'm running for, but some of the other ideas will probably work.

New, updated list here:

Math-hammer people:

Let me know what you think of this altered list.

I think dropping the dreadnoughts is a good trade for Long Fang support. Institute the other changes and you can afford your Rune Priest and some Wolf Scouts to help with Grey Knight and other backfield annoyances.
