I picked up Assault on Black Reach a couple days ago, and some additional paints yesterday. Here's the results so far.

Day 2: Nobz!

And a Dreadnought WIP my girlfriend decided to work on while I was working on my orkz.

Apparently the Devlan Mud wash I put on the orks doesn't show up that well on my phone.

This is the first time I've ever painted anything smaller than a living room wall, so I realize they're not that great. The fact that I'm stuck using my iPhone camera doesn't help much either, but I'm still mildly impressed with the results.

Hey, if you're as new as you say you are, that's pretty good for being the first.

Keep working on it, your skills are already rockin'

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

I like this a whole lot. If I may, though, some of the metals seem just a tad too shiny. Do you use any washes or inks?

I love the smell of cordite in the morning.

They look unfinished, BUT that doesnt mean its not good.

Infact, they are very very good ( nice and clean, paint looks even too ) All you have to do is add alittle bit more steps the same way you had been doing.

And before it, your stuff will be a B+
Great for first attempt

Yep. I used Thrakka Green on the Ork skin and Devlan Mud on the metal and fabrics. They don't show up all that well on my crap iPhone camera, though.

Awesome. I don't paint Orks but if it were me I would do more weathering on the metals just considering that orks aren't exactly renown for taking care of thier stuff. Maybe a weathering powder? And maybe a camera that could do your good paint jobs justice . Kidding, but yea good work!
