Im sorry if its been said before but I have to say it again.
I've just got space marine for the xbox 360 and i have to say, im impressed.
By far and away the best warhammer game i've played.
I know people are moaning about some small bits of wrong detail in backgrounds and weapons firing, but its is still a good space marine game.
I think its may just get a few more paople to look at the hobby a bit closer and its giving it more exposure.
I felt let down by the ultramarines film, but this game redeams the 40k universe.

Agreed. I enjoy Space Marine a lot, the campaign was solid and the multiplayer is fun enough to keep playing.

I wouldn't complain about the weapons firing at all; I think it's the best representation of a bolter in any visual media yet. I thought the game ruled, and the multiplayer is fun.

I'm now tempted by it as the price has shot down in Game £25 for xbox360 and £20 on PC... Seems like the game might be a fun time sink, and less "wgere did the time go" like civ games

I would recomend it to anyone, and if you like 40k anyway i think its a must.
I personally think the weapons are fine and give you a good idea and and the atmosphere all give a good account of life in the future in the 40k world.
I cant wait to paint some more now the nights are getting colder!!!

I'd suggest it, it was fun. Just don't expect too much of a time sink. It's only about a 5-7 hour game, depending on how often you die

It was fun. Not worth the money unless you plan to play a lot of multiplayer as it's too short, but fun.

Space marine was everything I thought it would be, a solid game that would be a heck of a lot of fun I knew it wouldn't be anything amazing, but it was still just cool to play as a space marine! And the multiplayer is very fun, and with the customizer, I would see it being very useful for those wanting a personal colour scheme. People with high expectations are silly, for what it was it was a great game!

The MP is where the game excels, free DLC coming on the 25th October too as well.

It got pushed back that far? Bummer. Regardless, that DLC (you and a few buddies fighting waves and waves of Orks) sounds like a blast.

I haven't played in a few weeks I think.... I'm probably not going to until the DLC. I think I got up to level 16, but the3 grinding was too much for me.

Do you think it was good enough to make a sequel, because they left it pretty open for another one.

I liked it a lot too, so much that I bought it for 60 bucks something I haven't done since MW2. I typically don't feel a need to get a game at launch and that I did with this speaks of its quality.
I also play Kill Team (xbla game) and it was really good as well.
but... (don't we always have a but)...
The Meltagun was different in each which caught me as odd. It's clearly a sci-fi shotgun in Spacemarine but in KT it is more of a heat ray. I don't know really which would be right. : |

Neither actually, it should have more range then the SM one, and a wider area of effect then the KT one (and less range then that )

Good enough? Yes.
Sold well enough? That's up for debate. THQ said they "don't have room for a Space Marine sequel at this time" because of Dark Millennium Online. If it was a big hit, they'd be on a sequel already. I can't imagine the game sold as well as some other triple A games, but Steam doesn't release sales figures so who knows.
