Ok, so a nightspinner causes both dangerous and difficult terrain. Does that mean that a vehicle will have to take 2 dangerous terrain tests?

The vehicle would only make 1 dangerous terrain test from the doomweaver. And that is only if the vehicle moves.

In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Really? Thanks.
I played against a Eldar player who had that. Said that I had to take 2 tests. I wasn't sure so I went along with it.
None of my vehicles were immobilised.

Pg 14: Roll a D6 for every model that has entered, left, or moved through one or more areas of dangerous terrain. (Same wording under vehicles and terrain section)
