Apologies if I missed a post, but I saw this this morning after I got back from taking the boys to the bus, and it seems quite interesting. Obviously this is a thread about one of the most evil men in history, so I'd like to start by saying, please remember rule One. I am not looking for a flame war here, and have a geneuine interest in what this potentially could mean if it was proved accurate. Grey Wolf - Hitler died in Argentina claim (Sky News link) Okay yes, so my sceptic meter is blaring off as I watched this interview on Sky news this morning, that this story I have linked is connected to. Also yes it has come up before, but some of the info this fella brought up was quite interesting. The Skull fragment that is supposed to be from the shallow grave, being proved to be from a woman in her 40's, so could not even be Eva's is the most interesting thing he raised. Plus other info there, eye witness reports from Argentina, the fact PerĂ³n was happy to protect thousands of Nazi's after the war. That Hitler apparently (according to the authors) has daughters there even now. Now this is all from some guy trying to sell a book, but I do wonder on that idea of the fall out if this did indeed turn out to be true. What do folks think, possible, no chance, guy selling a book, if it was proved true at some point what do you think would be the reaction of folks around the world, especially with the connections this fella draws to the idea that he was allowed to leave as part of a deal? Thoughts?

I'm wondering when he supposedly flew out of Berlin IIRC the airfields in Germany were fairly extensively and quickly bombed or taken.
The man had pretty much lost it at the time (AFAIK) so him admitting defeat and fleeing is a touch odd...
Still if they have some conclusive evidence i suppose he did manage it...

Well that is the disturbing thing, the Author is suggesting that it was a deal for the US to get hold of all the Nazi tech, as they could see the Cold War was coming.
I still consider that potentially total Conspiracy fantasy, but this fella seems quite convinced as he has 'apparently' some hard evidence to the fact this happened.
Of course, he has a book to sell, so this is where my doubts immediately raise.
In my own mind it is not beyond the realms of belief, although it does seem highly unlikely. Of course to read the actual evidence they have brought together you need to buy the book.
So this brings me back to a ringing Sceptic meter.

I'll buy it.
I'd like to see what kind of deal was put on the table by the meglomanicial leader of an ascendent Reich with its warmachine intact, full control of its territories and military secrets.
April 1945 you say......

Well, as true as it was that Nazi Germany were well ahead of the Allies in the arms race, I could see the US going for that..
As for Peron hiding Nazis after the war? Well, there may have been other, monetary reasons, for that.

Why would they need to cut a deal with him?
They were closing in on him as it was and if he 'escaped' in April 1945 someone would have noticed them setting an airfield up...
