So this is my first shot at Warmachine. I've never played, and am actually learning this weekend. I picked up 90% of these models during a really big sale last columbus day. I recently added the Stormclad and Stormsmith Storm Tower to round up to 35 points. Do you guys have any input on this list, or possible adjustments to make? Possibly replacing some of the starter box jacks to synergize better with the rest of the electric themed list?

Its not a bad collection to start with but it is a bit jack heavy for Stryker.

I would honestly drop the charger and spend the 4 points for other solos (Jr, Arlan, lots of possibilities here). The tower is good at clearing infantry but you may want to look at dropping it as well.

Wasn't there some awesome theme list that came out in a recent NQ that was very Storm-noun based?

Last on I know of was eHaley, needed 2 storm towers for t4 or somesuch.

I think you are thinking of the Unbound list for Haley that had to have at least (?) two Storm Striders. I might be mistaken though.

Honestly if you are going to take a "Storm" list shouldn't everyone be immune to electricity?

If you want to go Jack heavy, I would drop the Lancer and Charger and add in Ol' Rowdy. He fits well with Stryker as it gives him someone to hide behind until he needs to be unleashed. Rowdy also does not need focus to run or charge and has counter charge.

I would also drop the Storm Tower. The list you have is a mobile one that really focuses on melee and I think artillery doesn't fit well here.

With the three points add a Journeyman Warcaster or Arlan. The JW can be in charge of the Stormclad or the Iron Clad if you like. Arlan has a special action that will give a focus to a jack without focus and he has a spray attack that is electrical and causes Disruption.

To stay in the whole Storm theme i would suggest changing Stryker to Lord Commander Stryker ( eStryker) or to either one of the Nemos ( General Adept Nemo or Commander Adept Nemo)

Haley has a Theme force in NQ 37 that requires 2 Storm Striders and gives them power tokens to start the game.

That's the one I was thinking of. I've seen it a couple of times on VASSAL and it was amazingly good. Honestly, it's the only time I've looked at the battle engines and thought they were worth taking. Too bad Scavvy's list requiring the Wraith Engine doesn't get nearly the boost that thing does. There again, the Storm thingy kills infantry dead. Wraith Engine... well, it looks cool.

I'd upgrade the IronClad to Ol' Rowdy, drop the charger and throw in Strange.
