Warp Storm over Illinois

I was flipping through my Codex a few days ago and stumbled upon the Summoned Greater Daemon in my codex. I've never tried running one and after thinking about it, would consider trying one out for an upcoming Khorne army I'm planing to build. I tried looking through my codex on how the "summoning" actually works. All I know is you sacrifice an Aspiring Champion to summon one. My questions regarding this summoning is, can any champion be sacrificed? (I know that would wouldn't want to use a high point value champion/ one that has important war gear) If this is sacrificing is done before my movement phase or during my movement phase? If it is done during my movement phase I have one more additional question. Lets say I have a 5-man CSM squad with a champion as the Greater Daemon fodder. I drive the rhino up 12 inches and dump out the squad, then sacrifice my champion. Can the Greater Daemon still move/assault in the following turn as it is considered a separate unit or is it summoned along the lines of the deep strike rule minus the scatter meaning it would sit there for a turn before I could move/assault? I apologize as I'm not 100% familiar with the game and I'm still in the learning process and that combined with the fact I've never experimented with this either does not help. Thank you for the help and information regarding this!

You roll to see if the Daemon comes in as per normal reserve rules. If it does, it can possess any appropriate model. It can do nothing in the movement phase but is free to act in the shooting and assault phase.
For more specifics see Codex: Chaos Space Marine p.61 the box on the bottom.

Yep. It comes in via the Reserve rules, and those rules tell you that Reserves must arrive before anything else gets to move.

You are allowed to pick ANY aspirng champion you want, including beserker skull champions, etc, however as its reserves when it turns up you MUST deploy him, even if its turn two and hes miles from anyone.
It can assault the turn it arrives, or run instead
