Not sure if this is the correct sub-forum but here goes. Im sure Im not the only new modeller who has run into this. I was piecing togethers some terminators and ran into an issue. It seems along the way, the size of the shoulder pad armor has changed ? I have 5 storm bolter arms with the actual armor pad/pauldron integrate that are smaller than the stand-alone pauldrons.
It look like the seperate pauldrons may fit over top over the one with the one with the smaller integrated pauldron but Im not sure if any other modification is needed ? I also have a few of the normal marine size pauldrons with the terminator cross. Im assuming that these fit some of the older metal figures ? I dont own any of the codex books yet and I could not find a specific answer with google but is there any instance where a marine in normal power armor can also wear the terminator crux symbol or is it contrary to "codex" ?
Advice appreciated !
Top - small terminator crux pauldron with regular marine arm
Middle - seperate pauldron and arm
Bottom -
AOBR arm.
Ive never assembled terminators before and I dont have any of the directions from any type of boxed set as they are assembled from groups of bits. In my ignorance, I did not realize the size difference in the types of arms. What I need to know is does the seperate pauldron go over top of the arm that already has a similar pad as in the middle ? It would appear to match up in sizing to the
AOBR bottom arm. Do the smaller terminator crux pads (top) go on older figures ?
