Is warpstone ever used for crafting weapons, I know Skaven sometimes use shards of it for ranged missiles but do any of the factions shape the mineral into swords or other weapons?

The Skaven crafted a blade from pure Warpstone, called the Fellblade, so that Alcadizaar could destroy Nagash before the Vampire could raise the whole of Nehekhara to do his bidding. Thats how the Tomb Kings rose again, but Nagash was slain by the Fellblade made of almost pure Warpstone. His body came back together after 1,111 years.

I don't think any of the other factions particularly care for it. Think of it like radioactive Plutonium times a thousand. It's literally pure chaos/magic. Pretty much every other race would get mutated by it hanging around it too long.

Nagash was a necromancer. Vampires were sucky versions of his super I-can't-die spells and formulas.

What do you mean, "any other faction"? Skaven get mutated all the time from overexposure.

Where do you think Clan Moulder gets its bits to splice into giant rats, rat ogres, and abominations?

Warpstone is also part of the warpcannon, pistol and grey seer staff for ranged attacks.

The Warpforged Blade mixes warpstone into the steel, and of course Warpstone Armor is usable even by Warlock Engineers.

Yeah but I feel like skaven find it especially acceptable. They are all down for mutations. I could see a couple other armies whiling to be mutated tho. WoC miiight, and I'm sure orcs and ogres wouldn't mind it.

I haven't seen any mutant orcs. And ogres, despite having an entry in WoC, are also fairly resistant to the effects. While the models often make out the mutations to be kinda cool, like an extra arm or mouth, you figure a bunch of times you just die cuz your body does something gross.

Skaven actually eat warpstone. And clan moulder creations aren't the same as actual skaven. But it can be argued that by their very nature skaven are chaos creatures. You can bet, though, that someone else eating warp tokens wouldn't get bonus to magic. They'd get cancer and an eye on their chin.

It's been stated that Ogres who've spent too long in the chaos wastes are often mutated, and are accepted by their fellows- an extra arm or mouth to eat with is going to be pretty useful.
