Noooo. I lost seven stacks of sandstone and two stacks of wool in the crash. Can an op replace them? Pleaaase. I needed those for my new house! I even obtained the sandstone from Iustis in exchange of 1,5 stacks of iron!

I have sandstone you can have.

Though the it isn't a particularly rare resource, just combine 4 sand blocks.

I ran out of sand a long time ago. I need a LOT of sandstone and glass for my house.

The real problem is that these sandstone stacks costed me some iron. So I would like to see them replaced.

I have opened up a Military Research facility near the Stronghold, as my main area, and base of operations. It bears resemblance to a castle, it has a single tower, and a Two thick wall surrounding an area.
It is a private residence.

Did the server just crash?

An accident with my puzzle door killed me taking out a full stack of iron 18 buckets and a half stack of redstone, so it works.

There's no errors in the logs at all, it just hangs. Maybe I'm restarting it before it times out and writes an error?

well this latest patch has made this game pretty much unplayable. i got bored with my first 2 world and tried to make more but even if i save frequently the game will lock up my PC and when i restart my world will be gone.

Try playing in browser on the MC website, some people are finding the embedded version a lot more stable.

now i am REALLY confused.

i spent a good few hours on my last world to have it lock my PC up and dissapear upon reboot.

so i tried a new world again, i didnt put a seed in and i left everything default and as i walk around my new world i realise it looks pretty familiar.

and then i go over a hill and find my base i was building from my OLD world.. i have no items or anything and this was a fresh world.

Yeah you can leave it when it just hangs with no logs and it will normally come back up.

Chunk error, they're quite common it your situation, I suggest you delete the .minecraft folder and let it redownload, clearly something is a little messed up in there.

Well it's doing that now. How long does it take, or do you mean waiting till a scheduled reboot?

it can take 5 to 30 mins. Rebooting leads to repeated crashes but will often get you there faster if you can put up with the effort involved.

i would agree it was a chunk error as there was a massive square hole in one of the hills that my base was on. that world is also no longer from another error where i saved and exited and it freezes upon start up. oh well.

so i was watching Troy and i realized that the way they made Troy in the movie would be really do-able in Minecraft. so after making a few new worlds to find the right world i finally found a spot for my Troy. The hardest part was finding an area that was flat and large enough. i wandered through a Tundra biom untill i found a MASSIVE frozen ocean.

I will be using sandstone for my structures and walls and even though this is just SSP i am still going to minimalize any possible creeper damage by making a nice tall and thick wall with an internal wall of obsidian. That way any creeper explosions will just need exterior fixing.

i am really enjoying this map as my location and biome is making it a real challange. i had to import trees into my area so i could build stuff and i have been having a rough time finding coal and iron as well as a decent cave system that has lava.

death: I think you can save yourself some work by having an internal wall of water that will absorb the creeper explosions.
