I want to get Straken's torso (well, half of it) for a conversion, and I am really struggling to cut through his abs without ruining other bits. Now I know he is hard as anything, but I figure one of you on here know a way to make him untense so I can cut him up.
Ideas?
Thanks

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Maybe a Power-Tool? I've heard good things about Dremel and the likes, which would have the power and precision you'd need for such a project.

Check out my Warmachine and Malifaux painting blog at http://ik-painter.blogspot.com/

As always, enjoy and have fun!

This is why clamps, vices and due care were invented.

If you can't do something using the right way to do it, hold off on it until you learn how.

Or just wait for him to come out in finecrap.

Get a razor saw (it's NOT a powertool).
It will cut through that resin-plastic bastich hybrid like a hot knife through smegma.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

@chromedog
But yeah, you have a point about the finecast thing, but I decided that I would rather do it now in metal than wait till they decided to finecast him. And I probably will get a hobby saw, for any other plastic cutting things (on a large scale) or metal things. Cheers.

Edited for what may have been interpreted as snark. sorry

Razorsaw, available from any hobby shop. Best used as it cuts well through soft metal, but also the cut itself is very thin. Hence it's great for this type of project.

Vice and hobby saw will work fine. I've cut many pewter models like this. Careful though, the mini is going to get very hot.
