Hi everyone.

I was hoping to start a wee group of regular tournaments in the dunfermline area exclusively 40 k. I know that there are a few groups in tis are and i do not want to step on any feet.

Theres a group of us who may be able to come down there depending on dates. When are you thinking?

It would be based on age group of players. I work for the council and could get us a decent rate on a number of the comunnity centres. However I was thinking we could hire a bar if we were older- theres plenty of them in dunfermline with a function room. So it really depends on the age of attendees.

have you added the facebook group? we are early stages no but it would be good if you were interested.
I have an ork player interested already. I was thinking 5-10 pound entry for 3 games. Best player gets a GW or local hobbyshop voucher and a smaller prize for best sportsmen.

Hey Loken,

Its an interesting one. We aren't well served for tourneys in scotland with rapid fire (this weekend in stirling) and ELG counter attack (which was earlier this month) being the two main ones.

For what its worth, I think you need to think carefully about *when* you run the tourney, so as not to clash with other events (such as ToS, rapid fire, the ELG tourney which will be in Q1 2012, and also my own Partick crucible which runs in late may).

I think there probably is a niche for another decent sized scottish tourney, especially since the demise of conflict scotland. It would take alot of organising though!

Glad to get some feedback. I really do not want to tred on toes. so thank you for letting me know about other tourneys. Im just back into the hobby after a 12 year gap.

It is really early days as regards to Chaos of the Warp. I hope it becomes a nice sized tourney out of dunfermline. P0lease add us on face book! That way we can have a wee chat about the other tournaments and maybee speak to their organisers to make a few friends and get some advise.
