I'm not sure if this has been posted before, I'm sure it has, but why does citadel superglue stick to fingers instantly but not the models instantly? Is it something to do with the heat in our fingers or what? Anyways just a thougt I had.

Your skin is porus, the surface of a model is not for starters. Additionally, there is actually a chart somewhere that gives the curing time for superglue on varies materials.

Super glue was used in Vietnam by US army field medics as a medical agent. Spray it on what ever organ has holes & the glue will close up the wound. I've never had to repair a spleen - but super glue works fine for closing up cuts from an exacto blade.

Probably work

I could be wrong, but I think it's specifically water content in skin that helps it react instantly. The porousness of your skin is what makes it get such a good bond.

I carry crazy glue in the field for just that. The medical version is now called liquid stitches.
Superglue dries faster on your skin in part because you are warmer and superglue is partially thermogenic. You are porous and wick it away from the model. So if you score the surface and warm it in the oven superglue will dry faster on the model.

You see, to Auston, everyone is a Death Star; there's only one way you can take it and that's through a small gap at the back.

This. Cyanoacrylate's catalyst is water: it hardens when it comes into contact with it. It is present on minute amounts in just about everything, but your body's got more of it than miniatures.

And don't used GW's superglue. Lots of cheaper, better glues around.

Violence is not the answer, but it's always a good guess.
