Here's a fast and dirty 3/4 face.

-PIC now in OP (just saving some BandWidth lol.-

This pic is also alot kinder on the sculpt as it isnt ridculously zoomed in. I think it is good 'tabletop quality' as in looks good from the opposite end of the table. I just did it to try it out, it isnt for an army.... Yet...

Lol just noticed 'Tommorow's war' on the bed....

As an abysmal sculptor, I'm suitably impressed. Personally, I'd soften the point of the nose just a tad, but the biggest weakness, at this point, is the mouth. The chin seems rather recessed and he could use a bit more meat around his lips. He doesn't need to be Jay Leno, but it feels like the bottom portion of his face is receding into his neck a bit, to my eye. Brow and cheeks look great to me, though.

Yeah it's defo not perfect but i was presently surprised with the results. Alot of people dont even bother trying to sculpt faces (some of them are amazing sculpters) but it is defo worth a shot. I recommend giving it a go.

The 'head' isnt finished, it currently just ends at his ears.

Part of the weak chin might be that he is tilting forwards (not on purpose ), the neck would actually be coming out at a tilt.

Not every model needs to be a stunning example of the human form. I think I might like the model more if it had a "defect".... I mean... .look around, not everyone is pretty.

Not sure what target your model is, but I think it would make a great-looking experienced/aged officer or attendant

Pretty good. You need to extend the chin a bit.

For smoothing it out, GW's new liquid greenstuff is actually an excellent surfacing putty, well worth having a pot around. Used a lot of it on my Mephiston.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

So what are you going to use it or? That's some magnificent sculpting, but would be better used for some things more than others.

Was actually considering making some kinda grizzled 'Survivalist' from an isolated colony or somesuch. Though not for any of my 40k armies/projects, just a one off.

Thanks for the continued interest and nice feedback.

Excellent job! Beats the snot out of anything I could do, but the ears look a bit too pointy.
