I was looking around the space marine chapter list and found the Brazen Claws (again) and thought how my army is blue and red (in a half and half color but I can work on checkered) so I thought of making my army a Brazen Claw one, coolness.
However there is little to NO info on their workings or anything really, just a mention of their world being lost and them going off to regain honor and not being heard from for a long time. Does anyone have more info on these cool guys? I might be using them in a fanfic I'm writing but I want to try and be as close to fluff as possible.
Please and thank you!

Yeah I think that's what I read on the wiki, but because it said they have not been heard of for hundreds of years I guess I thought it sounded kinda like they were killed. I mean are they still getting new men/gear/goodies in the EoT?
I guess though it means I could write a fanfit about them battling the EoT, would be cool.

They turned traitor, probably because they Crusaded in the Eye of Terror.

Source? I think it's just one of those chapters GW made and didn't bother following up. You could make up your own story about them maybe?

LoneLictor on thread about an ork choking the Emperor:
LoneLictor wrote:I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.
Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space. |

They aren't Traitor as far as I am aware. The Space Marine Codex mentions that they are still fighting in the Eye of Terror and that infrequent communications are still received from them.
Actually, Iproxtaco appears to be right though. After a bit more digging they have turned renegade after events in the Phalanx by Ben Counter.
Do you have any more info on that Taco?
The Brazen Claws fielded 10 Companies during the Eye of Terror, so maybe they don't follow Chaos?

Read Hammer and Bolter issue 3. Extract from the Phalanx says they've turned traitor. By the way, Hammer and Bolter is Black Library's monthly magazine, which has stuff like extracts from future novels, exclusive short stories, and interviews with various staff members. Phalanx is the next book in the Soul Drinkers series. Automatically Appended Next Post: It's kind of conflicting, it'll depend on which is more recent. It just be that the Imperium considers them to be traitor.

Yeah, I get H&B now and then but don't like Counter's Soul Drinkers series.
Is that all it says, that they have gone traitor? I wonder why they helped during the 13th Black Crusade then.

Maybe we hear more about them or possibly a retcon. I guess the events in Phalanx are going to before the outbreak of the 13th BC
