Hi, Dakka. Now, will you be starting the new Necrons on November 5th?

No, the models kinda turned me off on the idea of starting a new 'Cron army.

Well, I for one like the new models. Although, I shall not be starting a Necron army.

Short answer: No.
Long answer: No, because I lack the funds, have too many armies already, want to wait for new Tau, CSM, and Eldar codices, and I dislike the direction them seem to have been taken if the latest rumours and leaks are to be believed.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I won't be 'starting' - since most of the kits appear to be plastic I probably will get some to add to my existing force. Slowly over a long period of time!

Nah, I'm actually somewhat interested in the direction the fluff takes, and I'm sure they will be brokenawesomesause of typical Wardian proportions, but the models just don't do it for me.

Ok apparently I missed the memo, but can someone give me a link or something showing the new models and/or rules? Didnt see any thing on GW site.

This is my Leman Russ. There are many out there like it, but this one is mine. Without it, I am useless. Without me, it is useless.

No, and am/Was a Necron player, so i'll end up selling my old 'cron list, since they are no good to me anymore.

I'm not starting them, I already have a bunch of crons

probably gonna pick up some of the new units, maybe a box or two to add to my warrior/destroyer army, and try to make a playable list out of that.

Very, very, very tempted. But I'm not going to sidetrack myself. I have Tyranids to finish. Maybe once I have finished the bugs.

The sink.

Maybe. I want to read through the codex before I decide.

So far, though, I don't really like the new models. I prefer the minimalist approach of the current necrons to the blinged out Tomb King look they have going now.

I've got a pretty sizeable force of crons that I'm even still fleshing out now. While I wion't be mass purchasing new models, I'll certainly be using the new kits to complement my older stuff.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the new stuff. I'm actually looking forward to the fluff changes, and love the idea of some of the newer units. That said, I am doing a 2v2 apocalypse game on the 29th of this month as a final huzzah for the old codex. Nightbringer shall feed once more before being hit in the face with the ole nerfbat.

Not a Necron player, and I also dislike fighting crons.

But I will enjoy helping a friend paint them

I started them like 6 years ago.

You are not free whose liberty is won by the rigour of other, more righteous souls. Your are merely protected. Your freedom is parasitic, you suck the honourable man dry and offer nothing in return. You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it, your time has come. This time you will stand alone and fight for yourselves. Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood.

Never fails to raise a shudder

I've been playing Necrons since they were all-metal, bit i'm 90% sure i'm going to sell my force rather than expand it with the new stuff. I want to give the codex a good read first, but as i play for the look of the army (changed), the way the army plays on the field (unknown) and the fluff (Ward'd ) ...

If i do keep them i'll be buying a bunch of the new units and then doing some heavy-handed conversions.

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

In my cave, lying down and waiting for you...

My answer is, maybe. Im not really sure about the models and their price tag, but I might consider harder after I've seen the codex (still waiting for an necron lord who can challenge and beat Draigo )

More than likely I won't even be giving the codex a look. The new models don't interest me in slightest and I fear what may happen to the Necrons in the new codex. I really liked the killer souless robot thing they had going but the new Tomb Kings in Space just doesn't look right to me.
