Does anyone have an idea about how many wargamers there are in the world?
I'm talking any wargames. 40k, LOTR, Spartan, PP, historics....
I did a search and found a thread from a while back that estimated the number of GW customers based upon GW revenue / average spent per person. At 125M and $250 spent per player, that gives around 500K people actively buying GW products in a year.
But what about the players who have an entire army and don't buy any more? Or those who bought stuff once and never again. Let alone the number of non-GW wargamers out there.
Does anyone have thoughts on a way to estimate the number of our fellows around the world?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |
