Ok so this is my second go at an airbone list (my last was a little while ago)
the 'fist of god' bit comes from my colonel's hand, if that isn't clear.

CCS 270
Straken
2x Bodyguards
Officer of the Fleet
4 Meltas

Officer of the Fleet is intended to delay any reinforcements who hang back off board because of the 3x Vendettas in this list, so I can hopefully take them on a bit more piecemeal. These guys are in the first vendetta

He is meant to pop up and annoy the enemy. You know, say hi to someone with his demo-charge. If he survives then sweet, he'll probably assault the scraps of what he blew up, if not, well, he's done his bit and attracted fire away from the Vendettas

Come on from outflank. If they are early, lend a hand blowing up tanks (especially ones which didn't move). If they are late, get to an objective and sit on it, blowing up anyone who comes near.

In a Vendetta, zip forwards, plasma/Demo an enemy awesome squad (termies or crisis suits or something similar). My main enemies are SM, so carapace is to stop my men getting wailed on by bolters if I get caught out of cover/transport

They are Vendettas....generally scout, lascannon, death, if needs be ferrying some troops to an objective if they are still kicking late game

So yeah, 1 HQ, 1 Elite, 4 Troops and 3 Fast Attack

2 of those troops choices are very quick, one has some protection for objective sitting, one has sneakiness for attacking enemy in their own house.

What do you all think? criticism and all that is welcome, but this is pretty close to what I have bought, so steer clear of directing me towards heaps of chimeras please? Cheers

For a theme list, it can be hard to give it advice...

What about dropping the Chimera Vets and get two squads of Storm Troopers with Melta or Plasma guns and Plasma pistols on the Sarge?

The thing is, your not going to have a rear scoring unit that the Chimera unit would give you.

Feels like the STs would fit the theme of your list better, but I honestly don't know if it helps you.

Well I figured if I desperately needed a unit to score at the rear in a pinch, Harker could just outflank and hoof it over to the objective, but then his unit would be basically wasted.

True, some stormtroopers DSing would fit the theme better, good call. I'll give it a run Thanks

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...
