Here is how I am hoping it will work. The two dreads drop turn one. They will each wreck something. On my opponents turn he will have to fire pretty hard to take those two out. This will give me a turn to move my three rhino/razorbacks into mid field and pop smoke. The attack bikes will either turbo boost or use the rhino screen. The land speeder moves up board side, also getting in multi-melta range. Thunderfire cannon sits back in a bolstered defense, housing a unit or two of combat squaded tacs if it is an objective game. The land raider stays at home and serves as the counter punch, while shooting lascannon shots. Turn two, I unleash a turret of twin-linked melta fire from mid-field. Once transports are busted, I move forward and flamer the men inside.

I realize there is no librarian.

This is all speculative at this point. I have never ran anything remotely like this, so any input would be much appreciated.

Ok as counter I come up with the reverse story.

The dreads land too far away due to a flesh shield around tanks. They will later be melted in the back by said troops.

Your rhinos speed away leaving them vulnerable whilst the razorbacks move too fast to shoot anyway. This gives the enemy a turn of heavy shooting only going one way even it isn't towards the smoking tanks.

The light stuff is shot to pieces by bolters once they get into the 12'' melting range.

The enemy has brought 10 sternguard 5 with combimeltas and a couple heavy flamers and a powefist in a drop pod. So first turn they have melted the landraider with combat squad and the other has killed a few termies with the flamer.

Drop podding dreads need to damage first turn otherwise they will die before they get to do any damage. Rhinos and razorbacks work best in groups. Light stuff is light but it is cheap. Careful what you leave unprotected.

What would you propose changing to make it more competitive, while keeping it aggressive?
