Agreed. Take wazzdakka, those 30 boys are useless. The boomwagon is also generally a bad pick and doesn't fit the list. It has way too many toyz anyway. You now have 390 points left over after replacing your boss with wazzdakka. Use that for anouther squad of bikers and a couple suicide rokkit koptas with buzzsaws. That leaves 20 points to help you diversify those nobs. They all seem to have the same gear and are badly equipted. Eavy armour is pointless, you already have a 4+ save from the bike. Tl shootas arn't that great either, you already have dakkaguns for shooting. Dropping all those, you have 65 points for some pks and kombi weapons to properly diversify them.

See if you can scrounge up 40 points somewhere and split the 2 twelve man squads into three 8 man squads.

9 Nobz in one squad is overkill. You're wasting tons of points diversifying the squad for wounds shenanigans because there are so many Nobz in it. On top of that, there are not going to be many things out there that you'll need 9 Nobz to kill. You're making it easy for your opponent to have ONE big nasty unit to fire at. Similarly, your Nobz are locked into fighting one thing at a time, unless you get to multi-assault.

Nob Bikers are hard to do in a 1500 pt list.

I'd do two squads of 5 Nob Bikers and then three squads of 8 regular Bikers. Bring Wazdakka, and another Warboss on a bike if you can afford him.

Your 5 Bikers can be equipped as:

Nob 1: PK
Nob 2: Big Choppa
Nob 3: Boss Pole + Big Choppa (or PK if you have the points)
Nob 4: Waaagh! Banner
Nob 5: Painboy

That's a lot less useless points spent on Kombi weapons that the Nobz will never fire!

Hey - new user and I was looking to get into Orks, taking a peek at army lists and I love the biker theme... but I don't like armies that focus on one thing. They aren't much fun to play against, because either your opponent has a counter (skorchas/heavy flamers or.... well, I was going to say "even more close combat ability", but I can't think of anyone that mas more CC) or you have a frustrating game for your opponent because they can't do anything. Then no one wants to play. Then you have no fun.

What I was thinking is more like this - it's fluffier, the nobs are still dead killy, and it's got variety.

1x Biker Boss, cybork, PK, Attack Squig

1x Mek, cybork, burna, attack squig
(because how would he have been wired onto the bike without a good Mek? Plus, the burna gives you a power weapon that isn't I=1)

7 Nob Bikers, 1 PK, Painboy
(I didn't bother with cybork boddies... the chance of needing the invulnerable 5+ save on a unit that has a 4+ armor, 3+/4+ cover & Feel No Pain just isn't that great, plus the unit is big enough to absorb a wound or three)

(2x) 12 shoota boyz
rokkit launcha
nob, PK, 'eavy armor
trukk
(These are the wanna-be-bikers. shoot up or tie up tar-pits so the nobs can keep killin' new folks, plus they can snag objectives at the end.)

(2x) 15 Kommandos
2 burnas on one, 2 rokkits on the other & 1 pk nob each
(infiltrate and distract... draw heavy weapons & flamer fire away from the bikes, catch tanks with the PK before they bomb the bikes)

3 Wartrakks w/TL Rokkit Launchas
(I never understand it, but these always seem to draw more fire than 40/model could justify. I include them because they "look" the part and are really cool models, but you could also include 3 deffkoptas w/1x bigbomm, 7 stormboys + PK nob, or even a group of 3 normal bikers + a PK nob)

This is a fun list that can be competitive... plus it can be built with 2 battalions, 1(or 2) biker box, 1 nob box & either 3 wartrakk boxes, 2 stormboy boxes or 3 deffkopta boxes. Plus... I don't know about you, but if I have to do the same large model 33 times, I'd throw my paint & brushes out the window and take up knitting.

Ork lists don't mix and match very well at all. That list will be taken apart piece by piece. Two trukks dies so fast it's not even funny. The kommandos won't show up at the right time, and without snikrot, you can't rely on the kommandos showing up in the right place.
