Depends where you are getting the picture from. If it's wargaming related and on your computer you have to upload it first either to Dakka's gallery or to an image hosting site.

Next you need to grab the address of the image itself and put it into your post like this.

If you upload it to the Dakka gallery however, it has a handy little box at the bottom right of the page which already has these codes typed out for you. Just grab the code from the post on forum field and it will not only add it into your post as an image, but also as a link back to the gallery page for that image so people may comment and/or vote on it.

My best advice is use imgur, you don't need to make an account if you aren't worried about knowing the address to put in the same pic at a later date.

Or like myself just upload the pic again. Plus unlike some other sites I could mention, you don't need to enter a security box or such to upload each pic.

go here

https://imgur.com/

Hit the button marked Computer, select your pic or pics, and once ready hit Start upload.

Once it's finished loading, there will be a number of codes to the right of the screen for each pic, just highlight and copy the BBcode one (message boards & forums) and bring over to Dakka. I'd advise you have both Dakka and Imgur open in their own windows.

Like so.

You've copied and pasted the URL from your gallery page for your images instead of copy-pasting the 'forums' code provided on your gallery image page (on the bottom right of the page).
