Hi guys, I remembered about 2 years ago gw came out with a box-set, im pretty sure it wasnt an expansion(if it was it wasnt very big)

It was a 40k based game, and it took place on a spaceship. It came with a board that had spaces marked. There were no squads of people, it looked like it was many people many spaces apart all acting interdependently, im pretty sure it was mean more for cc.

I have been unable to find this item on gw's website, and If anyone has ANY idea what im talking about, please let me know. I am interested in looking up the rules and possibly purchasing it should i be able to find it on eBay. I know i havnt provided much information, but i hve given all that i remember.

Thanks as always, happy gamming

Space Hulk?

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.

Space hulk is the only one they've released in the last couple of years set on a spacecraft.

Version 3 of it, specifically.
Combining the best bits of v1 (rules) with the best bits of v2 (models and board).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Ill have to keep my eye out for it on ebay. $247 isnt quite worth a silly expansion to me, especialy one ive never played. being i can get 1/4th a new necron army for the same price. $100 seems to be my limit

It's not an expansion, it's a board game. I doubt you'll find one for $100, they're worth alot!

For those whovians out there, I something planned.

GW, in all its infinite wisdom, decided that a fun boardgame, (relatively) cheap that could pull in new blood was a silly idea to produce long term and so did one production run, promising it will *never* be released again.

Nice one.

Long story short: You're gonna have to pay a fortune on eBay.

Why didn't I buy it when it was £50? :(

The reissue even won two Origins Awards (Best Game and Best Presentation, as I recall), making it only the second GW product to receive such an accolade. What was the first, you ask? Why it was, Genestealer, the second supplement for Space Hulk's first edition.

Naturally, GW couldn't bear to let such a product remain on the shelves, polluting their customers' impressionable minds with ideas of elegant and balanced game design, or, worse yet, the notion that the company's work might be objectively assessed by a wider gaming community.

Dreadfleet, of course, ran no such risks...

It's not an expansion at all, it's a separate board game using models that are scaled for 40k. If you're creative you can magnetize them to 40k bases and get some dual usage out of them.

As for the game itself? It rules. Very tense, very exciting, and very bloody. Considering the original was basically Aliens: The Board Game, the feel of the game is remarkably close. If you can find it for a decent price I urge you to get it.

id love to get it. I have a feeling they will be coming out with something similar or an updated 'aniversary' edition of it, and I will get it then. If they dont come out with it within a few years, I will deffanitly be buying it off ebay

They made one run of it, and only one run. I wouldn't bet on any sort of anniversary edition of it.
