Have had a pile of Warriors sitting around for a while, all of the recent rumors have gotten me motivated to get them finished so that I can move on to new and shiny units. These are the first minis I have painted in a few months, and the first unit I have finished in several years.

I love the way warriors look when all ranked up. Very uniform. As opposed to my chaos marines, who have arms waving in all sorts of directions.

Here's a closer-up:

Here is the question I have for my fellow forum-goers. I am finished with the first ten men and am ready to move on. If you can't tell from the pics, I have completely painted over the green rods. I was considering switching up the rod color for other units, to make them easier to distinguish on the tabletop. Next unit would be purple, and I would refer to them by color name (Green Cohort, Purple Cohort and so on).

I think this has the potential to look neat and serve a purpose, but also has the potential to make the army look disjointed. So what do you think, different colors or all green? Is the situation going to come up very often where I need to be able to distinguish units? And, if so, is there a better way?

War is delightful to those who have no experience of it. ~Desiderius Erasmus
