What are you looking to do? Warriors are pretty good at what they do. Genestealers are very good at what they do. Zoanthropes are fantastic at what they do, but that all do different things.

"If you really want to know what it was like, to fight in the air in the great War, then go up to someone you have never met and who has never done you the slightest harm and pour a two-gallon tin of petrol over them. Then apply a match, and when they are nicely ablaze, push them from a fifteenth-floor window after first perhaps shooting them a few times in the back with a revolver. And be aware as you are doing these things that ten seconds later someone else will quite probably do them to you. This will exactly reproduce... the substance of First World War aerial combat and will cost your country nothing. It will also avoid the necessity of ten million other people to die in order for you to enjoy it."

I like the Tyrannofex. For me he doen't kill much but he sure is a great distraction unit wich my opponents think they need to kill right away so my other units do not get shot up as much.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Best points for ability:
Tyranid Prime
Hive Guard
Zoanthropes (if there's no psychic defense)
Genestealers
Gargoyles
Tervigon
Trygon
Monstrous creatures on the whole tend to be pretty overcosted for what they do, the exceptions being Trygons and Tervigons. Trygons are priced just about right, and Tervigons are pretty cheap for what they do. Gargoyles are a bloody bargain even with both adrenal glands and toxin sacs.
You can get god performance out of other units. I get good results from Hormagaunts, Carnifexes and Hive Tyrants, but there's little doubt that Carnifexes and Hive Tyrants are overpriced.

What Loki said ^^.
You also want Termagants to go with your Tervigons. They are very cheap and good at close range with their melee attacks boosted by the Tervigon.

They're being sarcastic.
OOE is also rated as pretty damn poor.
I have to second Loki's list, with the addition of Ymgarl's too.

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."
