Hey, since the codex isn't out yet I didn't want to post this in Tactics, YMDC, or News & Rumors, but a disagreement came up between myself and a Dark Eldar player yesterday. Now, this person is notorious for list-tailoring, and mis-remembering rules in such a manner that it favors his army (yet he never seems to forget rules that put his opponent at a disadvantage...hrmmm). As such, I believe that he is grasping at straws regarding interpretation of this (not yet released) particular special ability.
Entropic Strike - the rumored necron special ability that will, on a 4+ at the end of the phase, reduce armor of enemy vehicles hit by 1. He seems to think that the Flickerfield (a vehicle inv. save) will be allowed to attempt to nullify entropic strikes. I say no, because it is an ability resolved from hits (like markerlights) and the flickerfield is only used vs glancing and penetrating damage rolls.
I am aware that arguing rules that have not yet been released isn't optimal. I'm simply asking that IF the rule works as worded in the rumors thread, which interpretation WOULD be correct? The given caveat here is that in 2 weeks this discussion could radically change, and I'm okay with that.
Thanks.
