I think I used to like them, then I got a job a McDonald's. After spending 12 hours smelling that bubbling crude of stuff they call BBQ sauce a foot from my face I can honestly say that I can't stand them. Of course I am that way with all of McDonald's food.

BTW, do you know how long the McDonald's corporation expects a basic Cheeseburger to go from frozen to in the bag ready to give to the customer?

39 Seconds.

Its like 18 seconds to cook the thing. Someone else preps the bunz for meat contamination while the meat is cooking. The rest is wrapping the burger and sliding it down the shaft to meet the bag, plus all the meat grabbing from the freezer and then to tongs to transport it.

I have no problem with the McRib as it is what it is, but I don't think I have ever equated it as being on par with rib tips or a pulled pork sandwich. It is akin to thinking you want pizza and then buying tacos; the similarity between the two things (bbq and McRib) is purely superficial.

I agree somewhat but if the McRib had to be grouped with something it would be BBQ or ribs.

I would say it is like buying a Uno Chicago style pizza from a gas station (McRib) and a pizza from Lou Malnati's (Ribs). They are so different that it is like comparing apples to oranges but are usually grouped together anyway.
