What happened to Ferrus' Firesword after he died? Fulgrim-daemon seems unlikely to keep it for sentimental reasons unless he wanted to annoy the Iron Hands, so maybe he gave it to someone? Anything in fluff?

Fulgrim still has and used it.
He's got four arms now, that's a lot of swords.

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

AFAIK Ferrus melted it after Fulgrim betrayed him, as it was Fulgrim's. BTW Its Fireblade.

Fulgrim left it with Ferrus after he tried to sway him to join Horus, and then hit him over the head with Forgebreaker, the hammer he made for Ferrus before taking it and leaving. Ferrus remaid the sword by literally beating the metal with his hands, and I believe he then broke it again during their fight by melting it with his fists, or that might have during their first fight, I can't remember.

Ferrus blew it up in their first fight, but fixed it before the second. After that, it went off the radar from what I've read.

And also, is it possible that the sword may be one of the artifacts hidden my Vulkan? Or is that completely out of the question? Im not too good with the Primarch fluff.

I believe the artefacts are:
The Spear of Vulkan, The Gauntlet of the Forge, (Insert Name Here)'s Mantle (See Mr. He'Stan for the descriptions of these), The Chalice of Fire (forgeship), The Eye of Vulkan (Defense lasers)
Unrecovered- The Engine of Woes, The Obsidian Chariot, The Unbound Flame, The Song of Entropy.
No idea what those are....So much fluff...Unexpanded.
I forgot the mantle one. Probably Vulkan's.
