So I was thinking it would be fun to look at a cavalry list today. So here goes:

Kommandant Irusk (*6pts)
* Beast-09 (11pts)
* War dog (1pts)
Iron Fang Uhlans (Leader and 4 Grunts) (11pts)
Steelhead Halberdiers (Leader and 5 Grunts) (4pts)
* Koldun Kapitan Valachev (2pts)
Steelhead Heavy Cavalry (Leader and 4 Grunts) (10pts)
Alexia, Mistress of the Witchfire (4pts)
Kovnik Markov (4pts)
Man-o-war Drakhun (with dismount) (5pts)
Stannis Brocker (4pts)

Steelheads are just there to help out their cavalry, everything else is there to make a super mobile cavalry list that can charge list a monster and shred anything that gets in it's way. Battlelust on the uhlans and iron flesh on the steelheads.

I know why you have the Halbardiers, but you may be ahead to drop them for Fenris and keep the Steelheads on the flank or on Irusk watch detail.

i agree with Ronin on this one.
fenris is amazing. although first time i seen a pIrusk Calvary list. let me know how it works out. maybe post a 35pt one. i am not a fan of using so many mercs, but i would definately like to runa similar 35pt version.

For either of these lists Irusk could be easily swapped for Strakhov.

hmmmm.... What are the advantages of the Stealhead over more Uhlans? for 35pts i was thinking of running 2 minimum Uhlans, Markov, Fenris, Drakhun. thats 28pts of Calavary. giving me 7 points for jack options. probly grab Spriggan and Wishnaler to upkeep assist. so i would have:

Uhlans are FA 1. That is the advantage of steelheads.

Yeah, I would run a bunch of Uhlans, but that does not work so well.
