I will try to keep this thread on Secret Weapon MIniature new releases up to date.
First one is the Tech Obelisk that friends of the necrons will possibly like (15$ seems direct only):

That is not bad for a scenery piece, I might consider it if I so start a Necron army soon. A few of them would look great next to some sort of Tomb opening.

I like that someone is making terrain, but it bothers me that the sides don't even line up.

Yeah, as someone who works in construction I find that the sides not matching up distracting, it doesn't even look like a carved surface.

This looks like it might have been rushed out because of the forthcoming release - pass.

Again, have to agree. It really bugs me that the side don't match, other wise I'd get some as fairly tempted to do a necron army. Other wise a good idea and would look great on the table.

Meh. Put some effort into it and you could probably make a better piece at home. Really bland design in my opinion.

The sides down line up and the bevel on the corners is kinda lame. This is a non necron pillar covered in necron like lines. It is a lie!

It's not even straight. It looks oblong and wobbly. They might want to try that one again.

The sides aren't meant to line up -- each face is completely different and no attempt was made to make it looked carved. Each side is actually "floating" above the body of the Obelisk. The fact that the sides don't touch, due to the "floating" effect, is why there appears to be a bevel.

We weren't going for a Washington Monument look here or you wouldn't see non-rectangular blocks.

I had actually previewed this months ago and we only just got set up for rotocasting -- which just happened to be perfect timing for certain new releases.

Any wobble in the photo is the fault of using Photoshop to pull out the background. I have the model sitting next to me and it's nice and flat on the sides.

There's more coming for the Archeo-Tech series too but not until 2012.

Although Navarro is right about more new releases in the works -- he has given his touch to more SWM product!
