I think the list looks fun and competitive enough for me. It has some models in it I don't ussually use but just painted for fun (Guardians and Wraithlords) but I think they'll do alright. It enables some interesting tactics and what not. What do you guys think of it?

Well, it looks fun, but it is a long way away from being super competitive.

I'd give you Guardians Warlock Spirit Seer to give your Lords a bit bigger of a leash.

Don't upgrade an Exarch on Small Dire Avenger Squads. You pay the same 15 points for 5 invulnerable saves that you would for 10 invulnerable saves. Drop the Exarch unless you plan on filling out the squad, and since they are in a falcon I can see that you don't.

Why doesn't your Fire Dragon Exarch have crack shot? I don't think Dragons should have Exarchs because the squad is already so good at doing what it does throwing more points to do it better is copious amounts of wasted overkill. However having crack shot for 5 points is fun when people think smoke launchers are cool- especially if you are already shelling out the extra 12 for the Exarch and his bs5 and 3+ save.

So you'd recommend something like dropping the DA exarch and using those points to add crack shot and spirit seer? I can see that being a beneficial tweak. Quick math tells me that dropping all the exarch upgrades lets me put in crack shot, spirit seer, and 2 additional fire dragons making them 8 guys which would essentially guarantee that they'd nuke whatever they shot at.

I totally agree about crack shot. Ignoring cover, especially with a melta gun, is always good and for 5 points it's a steal.

i would agree with above posts that you should get crack shot. that and i would like to add that take the thing that makes the squad tank hunters

tank hunters+ap1= on a 4,5 or a 6 they are destroyed

that and well... two wraithlords? unless you are keeping eldrad in the back there is the chance (1/6) that they will stand there usless. thats a lot of points for something that you cant garantied will be able to shoot every round. i would drop one lord and add in a squad of guardians witha warlock with spiritseer.

I like the tankhunters upgrade, but with monolith's losing old living metal there's really nothing that makes it needed, especially not for 15 points. Also, note that there are guardians with a warlock in the list, and the changes mentioned in my previous post makes him a spirit seer. Bam, no wraithsight.

Honestly I want to use the guardians and two wraithlords because I just painted them and want to see them in games. So...ideal? No, I'd rather take 2 fire prisms. But they'll do ok I think.
