I've been eyeing this game and there minis for some time now.

I'm curious to know if these minis are metal or plastic?

On there website they claim plastic. On ebay they are listed as metal and the photos look metal.

Perhaps they have changed material recently?

Not played it, but I skim-read the rules and got the impression that if you threw D&D, Inquisitor & Blood Bowl (plus a few other bits & bobs) into a pot you might come out with something like Arena.

Ex-Mantic Rules Committees: Kings of War, Warpath
"The Emperor is obviously not a dictator, he's a couch."
Starbuck: "Why can't we use the starboard launch bays?"
Engineer: "Because it's a gift shop!"

Hello,
Having watched it be played, it is really long for the amount of models involved, that said, it does not take many models either and tehy are fantastic models.

Regards,
Carl

No, spraying three colors on your minis does not count as painted! 5k+
