I thought the ravenwing came about after the split, specifically to hunt down the fallen? So darkwing (which I assume you mean as a turn on ravenwing, sorry if I'm wrong) would probably not be too flash as bikers/speeder pilots, definitely not as flash as ravenwing
Shift fallen guardians (which are what? veterans?) to retinue detail perhaps? I mean, they are called guardians...
Oh, and some fellah started working on one a while back not sure if he still is...He's on here called 'Fallen Brother'

No no, guardians is cool, i just wanted to know if they were a veteran squad, or an honour guard squad, you know? Because their name could go either way (hell, or both!)

Oh right. Yeah they'd work as both elites and retinue. Also, don't give the deathwing equivalents deathwing assault, make them special (also, preferred enemy against all DA, but that'd be army wide wouldn't it?)

For as much as id like to see a Fallen Fandex i dont really think its appropriate considering the nature of the Fallen. According to all the fluff the Fallen aren't a unified force. At best they occationaly gather together in a small group and rule over a planet or system but mostly just roam around by themselves slipping into positions of power in govenments and armies.
But i apologize. Dont let me get in the way of you creating something cool. Out of interest though where did you get the names of Carminius and Elucian?

Lol, just thought them up really. But I reckon if you read through all the books referencing the fallen, there'd be names besides Cypher and The other guy (who fought Lion 'El Jonson, cant remember name right now.)
Also it does say that they radiate towards Cypher, so maybe put a rule in place saying any army larger than 750pts has to have Cypher as is General.
What do you mean, no deathwing assault? Are you saying that they shouldnt have assault termies?

Oh look, anouther imperial codex! These ones have units from various marine codexes that we have already seen before, but they have fallen in front of their name and get X unit as troops and army-wide special rule X. And they have a different color scheme! This totally makes them worthy of their own codex!
/Sarcasm.
God no, not more imperial codexes.. Just play templars or something and call them fallens...

Why you be hating on the Imperiums? They arent exactly imperium anyways, but still.

If you put every single Fallen in one place, they might be big enough to be an army.
But that will never happen.
1. They hate each other. They blame themselves just as much as anyone else and have a complete inability to work with each other for any length of time.
2. They find other Fallen worse than the Dark Angels. The DA have a galaxy wide intelligence net scouring for any sign of them, and they find one every few decades. The Fallen have literally nothing to work with.

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

What I'd rather see is a better way to incorporate a Fallen character or a small unit into an enemy force fighting against the Dark Angels. I think it would be cool to have a Fallen unit in the Dark Angel codex that would cost zero points. If you and your opponent both agree to use these rules, then hand the Fallen unit over to your opponent. The unit becomes part of the opponent's army, for no points cost to them, and the opponent can use them however they like during the battle. The catch is that destroying the Fallen unit counts as an additional objective for the Dark Angels.
This way, it's up to the Dark Angel player to have a Fallen unit on hand, but if the opponent declines, or if the pairing makes no sense (Necrons vs Dark Angels?), it's no loss. The Dark Angel player hasn't spent any points on the Fallen unit. Any benefit the opponent might get for having a free character/unit in their army is offset by the chance of handing the Dark Angels player a free victory point if the character/unit dies. Likewise, if the opponent just hides the Fallen character/unit for the whole game, the original objectives of the battle are still in place and the game plays out as normal.

I have to agree with Azul. I don't think a Fallen army really 'works', overwhelmingly for fluff reasons.
That said, if you want to create it, that's cool. Good luck.

If you look, i actually play an imperial codex (more than it seems, i only count painted minis in my sig, and i don't paint much) but i find the unoriginality of most of the marine codexes overwhelming. Space wolves are a bit better than most, but not much, because no-one uses the units that make them different. Blood angels- These marines have FC and Fnp! They take assault marines as troops! Their vehicles are fast! And they're red! They get their own codex. Black Templars- These marines are close-combaty! They get prefered enemy against everyone! And some marines are called anouther name and get some small bonuses! And they're black! They get their own codex. Dark angels are shooty and can do death wing and raven wing. And they're green. They get their own codex.
The main problem is that imperium codexes take up half of the entire codex line, so it takes forever for the xenos to get updated. Many of the aspects of those codexes could be replicated by using the marines codex and an force-multipling special character. But enough of this. This looks like a pile of old laundry and dead leaves covered in oil and karosine, it's so flameable. So just ignore this post if you have a high opinion of the imperium codexes or think your codex whatever is more unique than i'm making it out to be, and we can all avoid a bonfire.

I dont have a high love of Imperium, definently not, I mean my favourite armies are all Xenos. But I was just interested in making a fandex for these guys, thats all.
