Very much inspired by (plaigerised from) Eggroll's excellent Death Company models, I give you my rendition...

C&C most welcome!

Amazing job there. I particularly enjoy the effects on the thrusters and the power sword.

Have a nice day.

Thanks for the comments guys!

All credit must go to Eggroll for the thrusters – I ripped the idea off him! The powersword effect is nothing new these days, it was an Awesomepaintjob YouTube tutorial that gave me that idea – he was painting a Space Wolf marine.

@ Fabbes, thanks, for the armour I primed them black then gave them an airbrush highlight from above with Vallejo Model Air 'German Grey' which is a sort of medium neutral grey, then gave them a wash with Badab Black so that the little cracks and crevices were fully blacked in. Highlights were 1:1 Black / German Grey, then German Grey on the extreme edges.

Very nicely done Luther I really like the one base with the pipe and sludge. Looks like you've got a good hang of the AB as the blending on the chain swords came out nicely. Keep it up

One thing you can try is making the center spots of the jet packs a bit more white so they stand out. Currently the whole vent looks all a bit too blue and there isn't enough contrast to pick out where the actual heat sources are coming from. You can either try and make the centers brighter or darken around the outside.

Thanks Eggy

You're totally right about the thrusters – there's not enough contrast. I had a bit of trouble getting my bursts of white to be centred in the middle so went black round the edges with blue but think this diffused too much into the centre. I'd be a bit nervous about getting paint on to the finished areas to go back and work on them again now but will bear in mind for future reference – thanks for the feedback!

The chainswords are actually not done with the airbrush – just some clever layering with the right colours
The only bits that are airbrushed are the initial highlight on the black armour, the thrusters and the sergeant's power sword.
