I was curious what happens if you "Out Flank" someone but there is No place to put the model on the rolled table edge that is outside an inch from an enemy model? If there is a enemy model every inch on that table edge, does the unit then get a deep strike mishap, continue in reserves, get destroyed or deploy on other table edge?

Destroyed. They're unable to fully move onto the table.

Although, covering an entire table edge is relatively difficult, especially since you can't be sure when the outflankers are going to arrive

Remember that you can move within 1" of enemy model, but cant stop there. So you can come to play from outflank and move the models straigth outside of the 1" of enemy.

Incorrect, entirely so.

AT NO POINT may you move within 1" of an enemy model, except in ASsault.

P11, models in the way

This would not be possible as for something to move somewhere they must be able to get there base through this area so if they cannot move there. I guess you could bend the ruels and place them 6" on the table as if they magically spwaned/teleported there or they had to fight there way through.

Can land speeders or other vehicles that can hover still come on? Can't they move over enemy troops as long as they do not end their movement within 1" of an enemy model? Or am I just imagining that?

They ignore intervening models, so yes. Same for jet bikes, JI, JP, etc.

You are mistaken. Only tanks can tank shock on.

Maybe so, but since not all vehicles are tanks, it's better to be more specific. I also read it as you saying that non-tanks could tank shock on, since Tank is a vehicle rule, just as Fast, Open-topped, etc, and a "standard" vehicle would be one with no special rules. Don't think any actually exist, but anyways.

I agree. I was more clarifying that I agree that only tanks can tank shock, but that I considering tanks to be "standard" and (because I'm stupid sometimes) didn't feel the need to be specific.

There is a great picture somewhere of a Tau player auto-winning a game when his White Scars opponent decided to place his entire army in reserves and the Tau player managed to place his Kroot along the entire table edge. (No special characters allowed, so no outflank if I recall correctly).

Now if you have an army that can outflank, then it would be harder to cover all the edges of course.

Yep, no Khan so it was an all bike white scars army

At the time that picture was taken there was no real GW ruling on the matter, but they ruled it as "destroyed" at that point.

Best part? Despite that being one of the best known gaming photos, someone did the same thing the following year....

How did he auto win the game. Couldn't the White Scars player have just walked on from his table edge.
