Subject: FW Hydra model issues

Imperial Guard Landspeeder Pilot
On moon miranda.

So I'm sitting here putting this Hydra together, everything seems to be going fine, got the barrels all straightened and whatnot, shaved a bunch of material off the top plate to make it fit, and then I realized that the two rear lower hull pieces that come in the chimera kit don't fit with the Hydra rear upper hull piece.
There's either going to be a big awkward gap underneath with the rear upward slanting Bassy small hull piece, or it just plain won't fit with the Chimera rear hull piece (the one with the rear door hinges) because it's too long.
Am I missing something here to do I just need to basically bisect the Chimera hull piece lengthwise to make it fit?

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts. |

Here's an assembly guide. It looks like the pieces just don't fit and it's going to be a putty job

Thanks for the link, that told me what I needed to know.

Yeah, I just have a goofy gap underneath my model. Doesn't worry me too much as it is pretty much completely invisible

The pen is mightier then the sword, but you must keep a sword handy for when the pen runs out of ink.

Oh, don't worry.
The Hydra is not alone in this.
This is why they are for "advanced modellers" and not gaming/modelling noobs*

Well, I never really ran into an issue like that with another FW kit, my Eldar Vampire seems to fit all together nicely, my DKoK infantry went together well aside from the fiddly Hellgun cabling, didn't have an issue with any of the dreads or Chimera turrets, etc.
But damn are these Hydras awkward

Is it a new Chimera or the old one?
Because believe it or not, there is a difference.

New chimera, but I didn't think the bottom hull pieces changed, at least not anywhere near that significantly.

It apparently changed enough that their Basilisk enclosed conversion kits are having to be remastered, alongside of the armor skirts and things like that.
