Are their restictions on what GK terminators can ride in?

Yes.

They are banned from all the transports that terminators are usually banned from.

They have no dedicated transports.

They may travel in land raiders or stormravens or chimeras (but obviously only the latter if you have bought a Weakling squad with that vehicle as its dedicated transport, and that obviously restricts when the terminators may enter it).

does it say there are in the codex?

no offence, but this kind of thing is usually spelled out pretty clearly, so I'm not quite clear what you're driving at...

The terminator armour entry lists all the restrictions.

The chimera one, by RAW, did not need answering in the FAQ

You would think so, but I have several players try to argue that a Librarian cannot be in a Chimera because of his Terminator armor. As for the original question, the only restrictions are Rhinos, and Razorbacks.

Yes, but they were arguing with absolutely no basis in rules

RUle 1: infantry can embark any transport vehicle
Rule 2: Infantry in TA cannot embark in X, Y & Z transport vehicles

Given general permission frmo 1, you have to find the vehicle listed at rule 2 to stop me embarking on it. If it isnt listed in rule 2, i can embark (barring a special rule of the vehicle)

Is a Chimera a Rhino or a Razorback? No.

therefore, terminators can ride in Chimeras.
