Variety is the spice of life, plus that could be said just about any video game genre and also Action RPG's are proving popular so people want to cash in on it. Mind you I'll stick to LoL until I see the reviews then
decide my move from there.

Original and Dota 2 are (IMO) the only proper ones. Dota 2 being an almost exact copy.

Well yeh, they tend to be the proper ones when they basically created a new genre and other games get based off of them. Though I remember a less popular third person view one floating around as well.

There was also Demigod and some other.
To me this trailer looks just bad. Now trailers can be really awesome but this looks like fan-made who acquired some gameplay footages. Old music, voice actor sucks, backstory is just horrid. Would be much better without mentioning two generic identical gods just having some heroes frozen for 'ladder points'. I know it was supposed to be funny but it wasn't.
I think Dota2 will be MCUH better than Blizzard Dota. There were many Dotla like clones in custom maps on SC2 and they all felt forced. SC2 is just not Hero friendly like WC3. almost all custom maps in fact seem that way. I've spend numerous hours playing custom maps on WH3. SC2 was a disappointment in that regard.

Blizzard Dota is a League of Legends clone, if you hadn't noticed. They are entirely deviating from the formula DotA used to become hugely successful, and mixing League of Legends with gak (making it more terrible than LoL, if that was even possible)
Another game that will die once Dota 2 is released.
