I was watching a battlereport on Miniwargaming.com, Tau vs. BloodAngles.
at one point in the game Mephiston was in cover and was hit by three marker lights.
Using the three markerlight hits to reduce his cover save, 3+ units fired at Mephiston all ignoring his coversave.
My question, are markerlight hit bonuses passed on to all units firing or to just one unit.
i.e. 2 marker lights hit a unit, Tau player nominates them to increase BS by 2, now does only one unit get this increase or do all units firing at the target unit get this +2 bonus.
I've been playing that each markerlight hit can be used once by a single unit, which way is correct???

Runnin up on ya.

Ohhh, Tau cheating! Don't knock it, it's the only way we can win these days.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

They were wrong; each counter removed only effects the unit removing it(in other words in the scenario you are removing Mephiston's cover save from 1 unit by removing all 3 counters).

It is possible they ignored the Apostrophe in the word "Unit's" and thought it was "units"; but morelikely it all goes back to Miniwargaming ad beasts of War very often gets the rules wrong(especially Beasts of war, My god do they ever foul-up rules in their "tactics" or "rules" vids).

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Completely wrong on their part. Unless they had 9 marker lights.

Yes he was wrong and it was MWG Dave vs a Tau player. The Tau player commented on the vid saying he has only had the army for less than a month. Also it was made up by the fact that everytime Dave assaulted he still went first eventhough he was assaulting through cover. And he went first when assaulting stealth suits who are always treat a being assaulted through cover. There was alot wrong in that battle report so you know. But yes it only reduces the cover for one unit I belive.

Cover wouldn't matter; nearly all Blood Angels models (except Terminators) have frag grenades anyway.

Well with the stealth suits one of the squads was terminators. Probably still wouldn't have made a differance though.

Stealth suits rule has no effect in 5th, as they dont force a difficult or dangerous terrain test, and it is only taking the test that drops your I
