Hey everyone, just letting you all know about the second season of the East Bay Wargamers League.
Season one was a blast with 12 players, and the championships saw Fuegan17 vs. TasteyTaste in an epic showdown that resulted in Fuegan17 coming out on top with his Purifier Spam Grey Knights. Fuegan17 also won best painted for the season, so he cleaned up in the first iteration of the league!
All of those who didn't make the playoffs, played in an Apoc battle that was great fun. We finished 6 turns in 3 hours! Everyone had a blast and is looking forward to our next game.
If anyone wants to join this season here is the format:
You will be playing 1 game every 2 weeks. That allows plenty of time to work some organized gaming in around busy schedules. You and your opponent determine the location of the game in advance, so even if you are not local to the East Bay, you can participate by playing in a location central to you and your opponent. The results of the game are sent to me and logged into our website.
You know who you are playing the entire season through, which makes scheduling games super easy. The size and type of game is up to the players, if they can't decide it defaults to a random book missions and 1850 points size.
There are 6 games throughout the season, and a championship game at the end between the top two ranked players to determine who walks away the top dog!
Pain and playing are two separate awards. So don't worry if your army isn't a work of art or if you aren't the best player. You can still win great loot!
There is no comp or sports style scores. We have no issues with sportsmanship in this group and most of us go out for burgers after gaming. Any repeat douches will be dealt with by me.
The entry fee is $20, which all goes to prize support. We have 15 players signed up so far, so the pot is already up to $300. That money will be divided into a number of prize categories to ensure the prize love gets spread around!
Also, Battle Bunker Games in Antioch has been generous enough to offer all League Members a 10% discount on anything they purchase at their store during the league. They are also offering a chance to win a free Battleforce! For each game you play at their store, you get a name tossed into a hat. At the end of the season, a name is pulled and that person gets a Battleforce! The more you play at Battle Bunker Games, the better your chances of walking away with a sweet prize.
So let me know soon if you are interested in joining. We have room for as many players as want to join, and with only one game to play every two weeks and the location being fluid, even players who aren't close can participate.
Hope to see some more Dakkanauts there!

We like to keep things simple and let people play the game the way they want to play.
If you can't decide on a mission, role one out of the book, if you can't decide on a points level, default to 1850.
