I do hope someone said that title in the voice of the guy who does the "Epic Rap Battles of History" on Youtube. And yes, I am doing this because of the other IoM vs. threads. I like bandwagons.

Anyway, IoM has Titan Legions, huge spaceships, billions of ground troops, Space Marines, etc. What does the Gundam universe have? Gundams. Lots of Gundams. Not just one series like Gundam Wing or SEED, all of the series, because even though Gundams are awesome, we are talking about fighting on somewhat equal terms here.

Titans weigh a couple thousand tons, Gundams weigh somewhere between 7 and a one hundred or so metric tons. Gundams are also shorter than Warhound Titans.

Titans have weapons of mass destruction, capable of laying waste to... pretty much everything. So do Gundams. And lightsabers. One Gundam has two weapons specified as anti-ship swords. Also, Heavy Arms Custom. Nothing has more Dakka than this Gundam. Titans might be bigger, but HAC has guns on every single part of its body.

Titans move like a walrus. Gundams jump, run, and fly in space.

The ships of the Gundam universe are also equipped with weapons such as particle beams (and even Hyper mega particle beams) and rockets, although I am not entirely sure about the size of the Gundam ships (I'm fairly certain the IoM wins in that regard).

In terms of number of basic troops, IoM would win that, since Gundams are the way battles are fought in the Gundam universe.

Personally, I'm giving it to the Gundams. Yeah, the Titan Legions may be massive and have huge weapons, but most Gundams are equipped with what basically amounts to smaller and more portable Volcano/Hellstorm cannons, mixed in with (the IoM equivalent of) Vulcan Mega-Bolters. The agility of the Gundams is also a factor, and I doubt Gundams would have much problem dodging any ranged attack from a Titan. The ground troops pose little threat, simply because they lack the firepower (aside from Super-Heavy Vehicles). In Space, it would be a much closer battle, since the IoM ship-mounted weapons are rather large and powerful, and the Gundam ships are small. Although probably more maneuverable, I'm not entirely sure how they would fare against the Imperial Navy.

In the end, though, its up to you. Who won? Who's Next? My vote is for the Starcraft Universe.

LOL, IoM hand down.

The Gundam verse have yet to even clame the whole of the there own system.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

I don't really know how many Gundams there are. A couple thousand, at the very least. Some series have whole armies of Gundams or smaller variants. Some are specifically designed for fighting in space, others for the ground.

Don't we already do this every time we let Tau play against Space Marines?

All Gundams would die in the first 48 hours of battle.

Mooks with plot armour usually.

For the Gundam armies, for every decent unit (gundam) there are 100s or worthless mass production mobile suits (GMs, Zakus etc).

The difference is like a Gundam being a Titan and the cheaper suits being standard dreadnoughts. Sure they'll kill ground infantry and some troop carriers, maybe others of their class but that's about it.

My money is on the IoM, when it does space battles it doesn't send out dreadnoughts with jetpacks it just fires the lasers/missiles.
