the GS fur looks a tad bumpy on some shoulders but seeing your telion conversion i see that oyu have greatly improved your skills with GS... also you showed me a good way to use the many scouts in my collection that i have toyed to use as stormtroopers in my mind...the scheme is very good looking and the fur on the commander is very cool...the beard is of matching quality!!!

holy gak... now you are really showing your true colors!!! that chimera/ hellhound vehicle is a looker and a half...i really like the flames on the front!!! could you make a more revealing shot of the front? the vostroyans looking simply delicious mate! as is the commissar...the only nitpick i have to point out is the red rim to the vostroyan bases...the scheme of said bases with the hint of snow i really like but the red below puts me off...it is to much yelling that red...the bases done in classic black look much better...

the mortar crews on the first pic are just wargames factory headswaps and cadian bodies and arms? with GS shoulder fur? cool idea...

i guess that firstborn is still a WIP...

ok the lasgpistol holding hand of the sarge is a bit to goldish^^ so a touchjup might be needed there too... other than that...he looks stunning^^ (oh just noticed some blotchy action on the grenade...ans surrounding area...)

as for the wysiwyg shtick...i think a sling is as good as good as you get... if the gun is ON the model it counts! heck if it is on the model and you didn´t pay for it, i guess then your into deep trouble^^

don´t know your background for your vostroyans... but a friend of mine...shasolenzabi has a tank named "Perun"... the russion mythic version of thor...might be a think for your interrest too...
the wire on the tank is a cool idea and the freehand on the dozerblade is very cool! that tamiya red on the chimera is a bit of something i am troubled with...but if the bloodcolor is a fluffy choice for you i think it is a good idea...

and thanks for apreciating our thoughts about the bases... now the mini shines and not the base^^ (but the base ´s design is a cool loking one^^

hmmm... congratz to your bargain... but paintwise i can´t help you there... maybe there is a tutorial here for painting scars...? ther board has an own tutorial section...might be good to pay it a visit...

i like the conversion work you did on the stormtrooper...makes much more sense that pose this way...almost like he is snipeing now...like DMR...

hmmm... some minor idea about the stormtroopers... those cables... do they need to be all red? i would suggest either a dark brown or go the full step and make them flashy...green or blue... something to show them a bit off...

and yep... it looks fancy now all choped up^^

now that is some wicked looking OSL lightnings on that sentinel...cool...!

and i think you captured the idea of the sniper on that stormy quite well!

though i am a bit confused... it looks like you are testing a camo on those stormies or is it just sanded off primer?

that gap was put me off right from the start too...which is sad because the built without looks simply cool already...
that chimera looks very good, good work with the plasticcard there and the scheme i really like...not too much but just enough to make it sombre looking!

the GS "V" looks like i would have done it...i need to do that for my victorian amry too...there is really no way around that now^^

as for your camo... i really would paint all over it to not loose your style due to the camo... would confuse the army look i guess...maybe there would even be a camo for your scheme but i think that would rather involve black stripes than some urban camo...after all vostroyans are rather showy and posh looking troops...

back to the anti aricraft turret....you want it to be removed? or will you glue it in place? if the latter then i would suggest getting rid of the lower section of the turret and use it on a different item... i then would built with plasticcard the casing for the tank to place the turret simply on top...that would be the best choice for me... and i think you are capable for achieving that with just a bit of effort as i think you are a good modeler...!

mate you do know the trick with plasticcard is to just score and bend and snap...right? so if you broke three blades am i guessing right that you tried to cut all the way through? be carful with those pinkies of yours... or you look soon like:



though i really like waht you have shown with your plasticcardwork here! i think a HW team might be nice and unique way< to put some dakka on the chimera...if i was you i would have both men assume a low profile though.... lest it would look funny if one of them would be sitting or kneeling...

and i will follow the pinning of the door with great interrest...i might actually learn how to do that myself!

the chimera gunner will be a proud addition to your chimera team! looks very good! and i really like the smiley face on your valk! looks hopefully frightening to all these ugly green hides and heretics!

yeah i think the idea is right but the bipods as is look too flat...maybe add some "feet to them so that they are not too easyly spoted as just plasticcard bitz...personaly i would have used round plastic rods...with feet^^

the commissar is looking good already and much depends on the face i think... so i will say how and what about him when you added skin^^

sorry can´t help you there mate... atm i model and paint only for the fun of it... someday i might be into gaming and rules and list making....

the shcme of your grey lady is looking really good... though i can´t overlook some sections that might need your attention... the barrel is sporting one hell of a gap there...maybe use some filler or file it even... will then look much better that way... also i would suggest using some sort of masking to get the regimental colors starighter... those red lines...i know they are a pain to get right but again you will feel better after you fixed that...

will be interrested to see how the magnetised lascanons will look once painted and mounted...!

that landspeeder conversion is one i won´t ever grow bored abut whenever i see i always want to copy that one day...one of these days...^^

i like the osl on the sentinel... very good looking... did you work on the plasma effect even further? looks spify^^ (and i also saw the spotlight effect )

i am suitable impressed!

the stuff i used is called FIMO...it is a putty of some sort you have to sculpt and then bake in the oven for about an hour or so and then it gets plasitc like... sometimes a bit brittle but i like it... for sandbags the best choice... and i have a mass of this stuff lying around... and you can work for days on one piece as it doens´t cure on the air...which is a blessing when you sometimes get disturbed due to kids or other RL things....

with the right additions to the models both choices of yours would be good to add that russian flavor ...the BMP is always a good stand in choice for the chimera in my opinion...and if choosen in a good scale is more likley in my opinion to look fitting than all those way too tiny stuff from GW... will you buy a kit for the BMP or will you attempt a scratchbuilt? the shape is rather inviting to do so... also wheels will be likley easy to make out of lego wheels if you ask me...there are some that dont like that shape, but for me it is a good way to built upon...

also i think we have a very worthy conestant for the leaque... making rivets from a metal rod... now that is what i call heavy metall riveting!!!

yeah well... once i was very enthusiastic about the use of FIMO and when there was a sale for such things at our local hardware store (they have a fiddly section for the wifes that get dragged along with their hubbies...^^) and each package was only for 1 €...so it was quite a bargain^^... airdryclay is a bit difficult to handle ... if you aply after drying the paint just...then you could soften the clay again... happened to me just that day today... :(

seems to me i am the only one that is not into skyrim atm...^^

the rivets indeed show your dedication! man what a hardcore kind of work you did there... i really like that you used alternative materials to fullfil the task at hand! highly commendable!

and it does look very cool! specially the turret now is shaping up very well!

now i hope the filing will work out to your liking!
